Absolutely not. The primary care docs with the foresight will go into concierge or membership practices. That is the ones who will follow their patients through their hospitalization, give their patients their cell phone numbers, etc. can still make more money and have more free time with fewer patients than their counterparts who have sold their practices to the hospitals. In spite of being intelligent and highly motivated many docs have the inability or business savvy to not realize and counter what hospital administrators and insurance execs have done to their world.
